Kiverco recently had the opportunity to carry out a working demonstration of the new Kiverco Compact plant at the recent JCB Waste & Recycling Event and what a success!
With more than 400 guests attending the two-day event at JCB’s World Headquarters in Rocester, Staffordshire, Kiverco demonstrated the capability of this new Compact plant processing C&D material, while working alongside JCB’s new products such as the Hydradig Wastemaster and the JCB Teleskid.
Following last year’s installation of a recycling plant at Mick George’s St. Ives site, Kiverco & Mick George are delighted to be shortlisted as finalists for Business Partnership of the Year at the upcoming National Recycling Awards.
Mick George, who offer a wide range of waste management services, approached Kiverco to design and manufacture a new recycling plant to meet the growing demand for its services. Restricted space at other sites and the need to sort material to achieve higher recovery rates all led the company to look for a fresh solution to these issues.
Here at Kiverco, we are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the ISO 9001:2015 certification. It’s a great achievement and shows the company’s investment to increasing and maintaining levels of efficiency and productivity.
We have always prided itself ourselves on high levels of customer service and the quality of our recycling plants. This new certification reinforces this and demonstrates our full commitment to our customers.
Anne McKiver, Kiverco Director says, “We are extremely proud of our team, who have worked hard to achieve this. This certification demonstrates how each department within Kiverco is committed to quality and service -from design to delivery of the finished product.”
Our dealer conference and demo days were a great success with the launch of the exciting, new Compact Plant range. The event, which was well attended by the majority of our European dealers, began at the Glenavon Hotel, Cookstown on Wednesday, with presentations from the sales and marketing team highlighting key details of the compact plant. The afternoon and subsequent days consisted of factory tours and demonstrations where dealers got a chance to see the machines up close and watch them hard at work, processing waste material.
Kiverco are delighted to launch the start of their exciting new Compact Plant. This new range of products, when combined together, provide an alternative to traditional ways of processing waste. Designed for the small to medium waste processing operator or mobile contractor, certain modular components can be selected and set up within hours - giving all the benefits of a high performance static plant, without compromise.
Designed and built by the same team that has successfully produced over 200 static plants since Kiverco began, the initial range includes a Feeder Trommel, Picking Station and Density Separator. All components come with various options and configurations, offering the customer maximum flexibility to obtain a bespoke solution for their waste handling needs.

Last month, Recycling Waste World magazine paid a visit to Grist Environmental where they are processing waste through a Kiverco plant.
Kiverco recently supplied Grist Environmental with a screener on the front end, a picking station and a fines treatment section. When asked why he had opted for Kiverco, Nigel Grist says, “We looked at a lot of machines when it came to installing the kit and it is important of course that the machinery is robust and the quality of build is good, but we decided that the back-up service is just as important – in fact it is more important.”
Marcus McAlinden, Kiverco’s area sales manager, is Grist’s first point of contact with the manufacturer and is a regular visitor to the Wiltshire-based MRF.

Trommel Specification and Options for You to Consider?
When your trommel manufacturer has all the information required from you, they can then specify a trommel according to your needs. The exact specification can be tailored to suit your individual requirements, with the addition of various options.
Drum Lifter Bars
Used to aid the churning and disturbance of the waste which aids separation. By their very name, these bars also help to lift up and drop the material whilst it moves through the drum, thereby increasing screening efficiency.
Trommel Drum Scrolls
An internal scroll will help move the waste material along the trommel drum.
Bag Opener Spikes
What information will your trommel company
require from you?
In order for a trommel screen to be correctly specified for your needs by the manufacturer, you will have to know the following information. This all needs to be taken into consideration when a trommel is being specified. As a rule, this information will consist of details about your waste, your site and your expectations and goals.
A Trommel – the name is taken from the German for Drum – is, put simply, a perforated and rotating cylinder used to separate material by size. Trommels come in a variety of lengths and diameters, with various screening capacities, and at many varied prices, for many different applications. A major investment, your trommel will need to be specified properly.
Waste Recycling Centres and MRFs are often seen as dirty, grimy places. They are designed to produce clean, consistent, marketable products from waste that, almost always, contains some level of contamination.
Material can go just about anywhere. Therefore, it is essential to keep your conveyors in A1, tip top condition. This will help keep your plant up and running, will reduce unplanned downtime and emergency repairs and will keep all components running longer.
